Mixed breed vs 'crossbreed' – cat insurance help

Hi! A bit of an odd one, am hoping someone can help me figure this out/sense-check this. For context, I'm in the UK. I've got two bog-standard moggies insured with ManyPets since 2022 as 'domestic shorthair', which I've always understood to mean the same? It's never been a problem before, anyway, as in their insurance certificate ManyPets has alway previously had them down as 'Pedigree: No', which is accurate. They seem to have changed their system at some point in the last year, though, and in my latest renewal documents my cats were classified as 'crossbreed' despite clearly not being so. I phoned them to change it, which was all fine, and I've received the amended documents, which now have them down as 'moggy' and 'mixed breed'. My question is, would you expect the price to go down for a 'mixed breed' compared to 'crossbreed'? That was my understanding, and in keeping with that my new renewal price is a bit lower than the previous one I was quoted; however, they've slightly upped my price for this current year, so now I'm paying a bit more for the final month before my renewal kicks in. I'm trying to work out why this would be the case – not that it's a huge amount of money, but it just doesn't make sense to me! Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!
